If a company says they "don`t charge transaction fees," what they are really saying is: "you must apply for your own internet merchant account with a third party (e.g. a bank or other creditor) and said third party will charge you the transaction fee." There is always a transaction fee. Processing orders will cost you 3.5% + $0.30 per online order (the fee is the same for all three options). You are only charged when a customer purchases your product or service. This type of fee is similar to regular credit card merchant account fees. It is impossible to sell products electronically without incurring a processing fee from the financial industry. If a company promises you a lower fee than us, make sure theirs isn't an extra fee on top of the fee they intend to make you pay a third party. With Alaska Commerce, everything is up front. There are no additional fees beyond what is listed here, you do not have to pay a third party merchant account/bank.
